A Legend Retires

Mark Calvert has retired after over 10 years with us in the role of Aftersales Support, Mark was never late, always early, rarely ill, never dull & took a great deal of pride in demonstrating to younger colleagues a reliable old school attitude to work!

Mark began in the Motor Trade in 1969 as an apprentice mechanic at Universal Garage in Whitby then agents for Singer cars & Fordson tractors, later becoming the Renault agent. Mark worked in various roles for various brands & companies throughout his career & has a lifetime of Motor Trade experience.

Mark is a passionate Motor Sport & Classic cars fan, helping out at Mathewsonsof Thornton le Dale & often appearing on the TV show 'Bangers and Cash'

We will all miss him but he will be particularly missed by customers on the North Yorkshire moors & coast who he collected/delivered cars to for servicing etc.

Hopefully he will enjoy more time on the Moor roads with his beloved MG Classic & Carole, you will be missed, but the kettle will always be on, keep in touch & sincere thanks.
