Derek Slack Motors are proud to announce another successful bid for the Cleveland Police Vehicle Repair & Maintenance contract to keep emergency vehicles on the road in Middlesbrough. This contract includes the addition of Kirkleatham, covering Redcar, Guisborough & East Cleveland.

Tony commented: “We are delighted to win both contracts and look forward to continuing our relationship with Cleveland Police & their excellent Fleet team, repairing their vehicles and keeping them on the roads to support the local community. Police vehicles have to be on the road every day of the year and the contract requires garages who can provide a fast, priority service & MOT’s, services we continued to offer throughout the entire Covid-19 lock down”.
The contracts are awarded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. Cleveland’s Police and the Crime Commissioner look to work with excellent local suppliers who support the local community & local jobs.
The Contract covers the Police Service’s varied stock of more than 300 vehicles including BMWs, Peugeots, Fords, Vauxhalls, Volvos and Skoda’s.
Further jobs will be created due to winning the contract. Chris Harrison, Service Manager at Derek Slack Motors, who is instrumental in the delivery of the contract, is keen to talk to Technicians & MOT Testers who have the varied skills required to work on Emergency Vehicles.
The contract starts Thursday 1st February.
