Superb News!

Škoda has confirmed specifications for the all-new Superb SportLine, the latest addition to the brand’s award-winning hatchback and estate. Positioned between the existing SE L and L&K models, the new SportLine model combines striking looks with exceptional practicality, and agile driving dynamics. The Superb SportLine is available to order now.

Striking exterior design

Like its predecessors, the all-new Superb SportLine features a generous equipment list and unique design features. Instantly recognisable as a SportLine model, the new model is defined by gloss black detailing on the front grille surround, window frames and door mirrors. Both bumpers, which are unique to the SportLine, feature gloss black inserts, with the estate version adding black roof rails to the design package. The hatch, meanwhile, features a subtle gloss black strip on the tailgate diffuser.

Further enhancing the sporty feel are 19-inch Torcular polished black alloy wheels, bespoke SportLine badging on the front wings and black Škoda lettering on the tailgate.

Space and sportiness inside
Inside, the new Superb SportLine features a unique SportLine Design Selection as standard, along with a host of additional equipment designed to enhance the model’s dynamic feel. New front sport seats are the most advanced to be offered in a Superb SportLine model and feature an integrated headrest, electric controls and manually adjustable seat length. To ensure complete comfort for passengers, both front seats come with heating and massage function as standard.

Elsewhere, the SportLine comes with a black headlining, three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel and aluminium pedal covers. Fully adjustable ambient lighting is also included as standard.

Broad engine range, including a plug-in hybrid
The new SportLine model is offered with no fewer than six different engine and transmission options. The petrol line-up consists of a 1.5 TSI unit that develops 150PS and a 2.0 TSI that comes with two power output options: 204PS and 265PS. All feature a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard with the latter additionally offering 4x4 all-wheel drive. The SportLine model is also available with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drivetrain that combines a 1.5 TSI petrol engine with a 110kW electric motor and a six-speed DSG gearbox. Powered by a 25.7kWh battery (19.7kWh usable) located at the rear of the estate version, the Superb SportLine iV has a WLTP all-electric driving range of 79 miles.

Diesel customers can opt for a 2.0 TDI with outputs of 150PS and 193PS. Both are equipped with a seven-speed DSG gearbox as standard with the higher output engine also featuring 4x4.

Driving dynamics and equipment
To ensure that the new SportLine model delivers a drive to match its sporty looks, the new model features a special sports chassis that delivers a 15mm reduction in ride height when compared to other models in the range. Progressive steering, which delivers a more agile, dynamic feel at speed, is also fitted as standard to all SportLine models, along with DCC dynamic chassis control plus.
